Most wireless AI smart glasses connect via Bluetooth. Some models also need a dedicated app to unlock AI functions, camera, firmware update and Wi‑Fi connection.
Step 1: Pre‑preparation
- Fully charge your AI smart glasses. Low battery may cause pairing failure.
- Prepare your smartphone: turn on Bluetooth, enable location permission (required for Android Bluetooth scanning).
- Download the official companion app from App Store / Google Play (check the product manual for the correct app name).
Step 2: Put glasses into pairing mode
- Power on the glasses. Long‑press the touch button / multi‑function key on the temple for 3‑7 seconds until the LED light flashes alternately (blue‑red or white flashing). This means pairing mode is activated.
- Some models automatically enter pairing mode right after power‑on.
- If you cannot enter pairing mode: long press for 8‑10 s to restore factory settings, then try again.
Step 3: Bluetooth pairing with phone
- Open Settings > Bluetooth on your phone and turn Bluetooth ON.
- Scan available devices, select your glasses’ device name from the list.
- Tap to pair. You will hear a confirmation beep from glasses; the LED will change to solid light when connected successfully.
Step 4: Connect in the companion App (for AI features)
- Launch the official app you downloaded. Grant Bluetooth, camera and storage permissions when prompted.
- Tap Add Device / Connect Device. The app will search for nearby glasses.
- Select your glasses to finish app‑side connection.
Only after app connection can you use AI assistant, camera shooting, translation, firmware upgrade and Wi‑Fi for cloud‑based AI functions.
Step 5 (Optional): Connect to Wi‑Fi
Some AI glasses need Wi‑Fi to run cloud‑AI services.
- Inside the companion app, find Wi‑Fi Setting.
- Select your Wi‑Fi network and input password.
- Wait until the glasses show Wi‑Fi connected.
Automatic re‑connection
After the first successful pairing:
When both glasses and phone Bluetooth are turned on, they will reconnect automatically.
Common Troubleshooting
- Glasses not showing in Bluetooth list
- Confirm glasses are in pairing‑mode (LED flashing). Re‑charge glasses.
- Turn phone Bluetooth off and on again. Keep phone within 1‑meter distance.
- Pair succeeds in Bluetooth but no AI functions
- Make sure you finish connection inside the official app, not just system Bluetooth pairing. Check app permissions.
- Frequent disconnection
- Remove the glasses record in phone Bluetooth (“Forget this device”), restart both phone and glasses, redo full pairing.
- Cannot use AI functions
- Check Wi‑Fi / mobile hotspot connection, update glasses firmware in the app.
Note: Operation details vary slightly for different brands. If steps above do not match your device, follow your product user manual.
